Private Therapy

One-on-one work with the clinicians who built Transcend. Individuals, couples, and families. Weekly sessions or a full day of focused work.

Who It's For

Private Therapy, Open to Everyone

Private therapy at Transcend is one-on-one work with Daniel, Catherine, or Emily. It’s open to men, women, couples, families, and teens.

  • You finished IOP and want to keep going with someone who already knows your work.
  • You look like you have it together, and you’re tired of holding it there.
  • You and your partner keep landing in the same fight.
  • Fifty minutes a week isn’t moving it, and you’re ready to go deeper.

Meet Your Therapist

Three Clinicians. Three Private Practices.

Daniel Rubin, LMHC, LPC
Men’s mental health, substance and process addictions (alcohol, gambling, porn, sex), and high-functioning men running on fumes. 15+ years in the room, and in long-term recovery himself. He doesn’t ask you to do anything he hasn’t done. Daniel also leads the in-person Men’s Group every Wednesday.

Individual sessions, extended sessions, and private intensives. Men’s Group seats are under Classes.

Catherine Lovern, LCSW
Couples work, EMDR, and clinical hypnotherapy. Catherine works with capable, high-functioning adults who are overwhelmed underneath, and she builds every intensive from scratch for the person or couple in front of her. Florida Qualified Supervisor and TPN educator.

Emily Woods, LMHC
Individual counseling, integrative modalities, and clinical hypnotherapy for clients looking to do deeper work. Emily’s trauma-informed approach draws on cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, strengths-based, and systemic work, built on the belief that change happens when clients access their own internal strengths.

Licensed since 2016 and a Florida Qualified Supervisor.

The Map Series · Intensives with Catherine

Finding the Way Back Home… to You

Deep, lasting shifts aren’t always made in fifty minutes. An intensive gives the work a full day: safety gets built once, you stay in the deep work for hours, and the day ends with a landing, not a clock running out.

Catherine designs every intensive after an initial session, with formats for couples, families, teens, and individuals, including affair recovery, rebuilding after addiction, co-parenting, and EMDR. You leave with a clearly mapped path forward.

Clinical Hypnotherapy · With Catherine or Emily

Getting Underneath the Pattern

Some patterns don’t move with insight alone. You understand why you do it, and you keep doing it anyway. Clinical hypnotherapy works with the part of the mind that runs on autopilot: the beliefs, habits, and responses that formed before you had words for them.

This isn’t stage hypnosis. You stay aware and in control the whole time. Your therapist guides you into a focused, relaxed state where the material that usually sits under the surface is easier to reach and work with.

Clients use it for anxiety, trauma, entrenched habits, and reconnecting with a sense of self that actually feels like theirs. It can be woven into weekly sessions, extended sessions, or an intensive.

EMDR · With Catherine

So It Becomes Something That Happened

EMDR helps the brain finish processing what got frozen at the time of the event, so the memory becomes something that happened instead of something that keeps happening.

Catherine offers EMDR in weekly or extended sessions, and as a full intensive. In the intensive format, the preparation, processing, and closure that usually stretch across months happen inside one contained day, with regulation built into both ends.

Every EMDR client starts with a screening session. EMDR is powerful, and it isn’t right for every history. We make sure it’s right for yours before we begin.

Men's Group · With Daniel

A Room Where You Don't Have to Have It Together

Most men walk into group already carrying everything alone. This is the room where you set it down. Daniel runs an in-person group for men: no lectures, no performing, just honest conversation with other men who get it.

What gets talked about comes from the room: work pressure, relationships, recovery, anger, loneliness, and being the one everyone else leans on.

Wednesdays, 7:00–8:30 PM
In person · 1881 NE 26th Street, Suite 244, Wilton Manors
